Conservative voting councils are the ones with the most pensioners, and the biggest increasing need for social care spending. Interesting times ahead.

hadn't considered that...interesting point...wouldn't they also have more pensioners who wouldn't need funded care?

Not really, we 're still paying off the debt mountain you lot ran up under Labour while you still object to actually balancing the books.

See, you ran out of other peoples money so now you have to repay what you borrowed and spent.

Actually I think you'll find Blair & Brown's 'open door' policy rather exacerbated the problem.

This country has too many net-takers and the net-contributors are getting taxed to oblivion to pay for them.

not really, but certainly taxed to the point where there appears to be an unnecessary burden on a particular section of society...ie... the new working class...

Ecstatic. I will pay for my own garden waste, you can pay for yours and the person who doesn't want to have garden waste collected pays nothing.

A very fair system. Unlike taxing everyone for a service that not everyone uses.

Try living in Scotland.

I now pay 1k more in income tax a year than if I lived in England. And it's only going to get worse.

Gotta love the SNP.

Seriously Numpty Party.

Now considering relocating back to England, taking my tax (and my company) with me.

I'm not going to pay quite that much more, but even if I was, or more would I move? probably not. I quite like my quality of life up here. But I do think it sends worrying signs. I'll be interested to see how the SNP changes over the next few years or even fractures up. Most of the never ending referendum promising is for internal party consumption to try and hold it together.
