Little known fact:
The majority of middle eastern countries don't show the Flintstones on TV, because they don't wear any trousers, but Abu Dhabi do!

I'll get my coat!

Its cold and rainy in Abu Dhabi this morning so that should make the roads nice and greasy Very Happy

Just at airport heading to the UK which should prove interesting as all my cold weather gear is in the Uk which isnt a lot of use on arrival.

Live stream's just started and it looks a bit miserable but I'd still rather be there than here having slithered to the office today.

Hardly a great advertisement for triathlon. What a drab, soulless, dangerous course.

Johnny crashed but got back on and finished 7th. Not sure crash really impacted his result.

Ladies race was carnage, the tunnel in particular seemed to be a skid pan. Zaferes, Standford, Duffy and more all down. Klamer won but agree with comments above, not the greatest advert.

What it needed was Sanders to storm through the field from 2 mins down on the swim, then drop Shoeman and hold them off for the 5K

Nice work from the winner.

It did look a bit drab, and was the field holding back due to traction? Hard to say but it looked like it.

another shitstorm of a race. ITU might want to go to these nations for the money but they need to sort out a better course than a bike and run through a parking lot and a few corners of an F1 track

It made the French division 1 courses looking stratospherically amazing! Most useless "world class" course ever. Triathlon is gaining traction as a broadcastable sport but with courses like that it's going no further than the red button and a vague highlights program.

On the other hand, the coffee shop they were filming the links in is owned by Jess Varnish, Liam Phillips and Fran Halsall. That was exciting. Great coffee shop!

After watching the women, I’ve got to agree. Disastrous course prep.

Any lasting injuries? One girl seemed to be stuck in that underpass for quite some time.
