Thinking of the Sprint Championships in June.

Anyone done any of the races at Thorpe Park? What is the setup/vibe like?

Seems things must have gone OK in previous year(s?) for the organisers to be trusted with a National Champs.

Any views, opinions, tips etc gratefully received to assist with making up my mind. Likely to be taking partner and our 2 year old with me. If the weather is good then will probably take advantage of the reduced entry fee to the park after the race.

Have done about 4/5 events here and always enjoy them.

Usual tri atmosphere, people usually chatty and outside of the champ race is a mix nice mix of fast people, lots of MOP and first timers too so something for everyone really.

I did the sprint champs race last year too and obviously the standard was much better than normal but didn't affect the vibe and logistics too much, apart from the toilet queues being much longer #marginalgains.

I did one last year. Enjoyed it; quick on the day registration, decent course, easy logistics, good for spectators

I thought I would make use of this when I last went, but to be honest having been awake for ages and covered in sweat and gel it was one of the last things on my mind!

Good races though, haven't done the Sprint but the Olympic is a good event. Only issue I had was one set of traffic lights on the outer loop, which I don't think is on the sprint
