Spotted the tri photo, pretty. Looks relatively calm for a mass swim i.e. no-ones being punched in the face!

If you read the blurb underneath the photo, it seems the photographer took a load of individual photos of swimmers as they passed under a bridge and then stitched them together, so that probably explains the lack of the usual swim biff Wink

When I first saw it I was a bit surprised that everyone was taking a breath at the same time but didn't read the blurb, would have explained it!

Great variation in techniques... makes me feel a little better about my own lack of style in the swim

You can see both goggles on many of the swimmers, bad form!

I do like the photo though, some of the others are excellent too.

Brilliant and utterly realistic.

Even got bloke going in a completely different direction to everyone else, slicing across the field (top right) and the random breastroker who you wonder how the hell they got ahead of you to this point (just behind him)Wink

Its the Sony World Photoshop Awards more likely.

I never understand why they do that - they could have created the image (not a photo) from swimmers who were in a completely different race and I wouldnt put it past someone to try that.

I think they've lost the plot when it comes to photography awards when they allow this kind of thing.

Exactly - which is utterly pointless.

Why not have an award for breathing air ?

I'm with you - the photo above of the orange hut is nice, but spoilt for me by all the post processing, which is a posh word for photo-shopping really, isn't it? What he's saying is I took an OK photo, but then made it better once I got home. And no, you can't go an see the view I saw, because it doesn't exist. Lacks purity.

Itís meant to be art, not fact. I think itís clear in all the submissions that they mess about with the imagery to create their picture as would be legitimate with say a painter.

Street Art wins it for me. The rest is poo-poops.
