I got via the ballot first time ...
... but that was back in 1988 when the Docklands was a building site.
Tried numerous times since to no avail.
Tried Ride London every year since its inauguration with no success ...
... until this year.
So, entered VLM2019 and hope its my lucky ballot year.
Both my sons entered too; now that would be sweet

I've entered the ballot every year for the last 14 and entered again for next year, gotta say I have had a reasonable hit rate as I have done it 4 times, 3 entries through the ballot and one charity place, ride London on the other hand, not once got a place through the ballot

I'm in. Any one else?
As a GFA. Despite the changes to GFA introduced this year. As a 50+ (as I will be on raceday). The caveat about capping the number of GFA entries and weeding out the slower ones may not have been stringent as I qualified only using a 3h13m30 time from Boston (UK ) and the upper limit is 3h15.
Also surprised as I set this time as a 49 year old. As I was under the impression that I maybe needed to do a sub 3h10 (as per sub 50 year old GFA new times). the rules seemed vague on this so I stuck in a hopeful GFA entry only a week or so ago Anyway I got into the initial GFA selection, and it was fast enough!

Eh? You submitted a time which does not satisfy the qualification criteria (ie 3.13@49) and still got accepted? Good for you but from past experience I was under the impression their vetting process was very stringent and age on race day was no longer relevant. Maybe your reputation precedes you.

That is rather good, yes you got me on that one. But I’ll raise you with a, ‘ I was on a flight to Valencia for the marathon last year with wife, and realised I hadn’t entered us into the marathon!’

My partner hasn’t forgiven me for booking tickets 3 years ago to watch tennis tournament in Montreal 2 days after we left. Your story might finally make me look organised!

It's getting on to ballot time. Bad luck to you all. Just saying.
