So more London spots to be taken with the marathon masters world champs with the final is London 2020. Thanks Ironman Wink

Interesting concept, certainly seems to borrow from triathlon, giving weekend warriors the opportunity to call themselves world champion. They've missed a trick though by only starting at age 40+, that's another 10 agegroups they could fleece for entry fees.

It doesn't say (or I couldn't find) how many slots are up for grabs in the 'grand final'. Is it the top x overall or the top x per country? Either way, you have to suspect most would qualify through GfA if they really wanted to run London anyway, which might make the qualifying times tougher for 2020, but won't change the ballot chances. Alternatively, another potential route into London if you can score a couple of good results in qualifying events in 2019.

I'm not in either, which is great news. I hate road marathons, and I'd probably wreck myself just prior to the Extreme X.

Still waiting here too. I;m not bothered either way to be honest. If I get great, I will train hard and go for it. If I don't I already have other plans for next year anyway so wont be too bothered.
