I guess similar to the 2018 events, wondering what other targets TTers have for next year. Mine, in no particular order;

Aim to pb over 25/50/100 TT with the 100 being my main one.
Run twice a week.
Do a 200/300/400km Audax
Swim once a week.

Whatever your aims, hope that you all have a happy and healthy 2018.

PB in the 3 races I'm doing that I've done in the past.
Sub 11 @ IMUK
Sub 60 25TT
PB at 50 & 100TT
Run a sub 1:30 HM
Swim a 5:45 400 at Chirk
Complete a 50 mile ultra
Do strength session at least once a week (currently doing 2)
Stretch more and stay injury free.

Staying injury & illness free will probably be a common theme.

As per the other thread I haven't entered much yet, but..

London - 3:10-3:15 off about 25 MPW with a couple of bigger weeks. Chicago will probably just be a steady jog.

National 100 - PB is unlikely but sub 4:25 would be good, all depends on the conditions over that distance

Might do a couple of 25's & 50's, always wanted another sub 2/50 so will see how things go.

Would like to have a go at a Nice 70.3 slot for next year, going to need to have a good day and decent roll-down though, or a lot of slots.

Not going longer than 70.3, and had hoped to do something like 2:15 for an Olympic this year so that is another aim again.

I also enjoyed the draft legal sprint I did this year so might try that again, but my transitions & swim are too poor for sprints.

Main aim is sub 4:45 70.3.
Deva or Sundowner.
The other targets work towards this.

If it's not already full the Cleveland Steelman is fairly quick, bike is about 2 miles over though and some of the run is on track, but pretty much flat as a pancake. Short transitions as well.

Get into the 22 minutes for 5k. If that works out, get under 20.

Last year was a bit rubbish for me, started great with some good results then injury/illness took me out for a couple of months and struggled with motivation. Anyway back on it now. Me for this year aiming for:

IM Lanza - just complete (but with a good effort)

Sub 5:15 70.3
Sub 1:40 HM
Sub 5:40 400m Swim (pool TT)
Sub 43 10k

Hadn't thought about time aims. I'd like to better at all splits for LCW but my new job is hampering swim time.

Enter more TTs and also see if I can knock a bit time on my Park Runs.

Both races are local ish too me, main aim is IMUK 2019, but be nice to do a fast ish 70.3 this year.

Weight is the main one for me, everything else should follow with a bit of luck. I know that sounds arse about face but if I can see progress in my weight from training and diet that will keep me motivated to train consistently.

Starting the year at 106kg and would like to get to 90kg (and then see where I stand) so a significant drop but 16kg is not going to do any harm to my running/cycling either.

Starting the year injured so racewise just want to get fit and do a couple of sprints/olys to give me something to work towards plus the club relays in August are a must as missed it last year with broken thumb.

Wow! Look good. How are you going to combine the top end VO2 max type training to go sub 20 with your ironman training?
