Who is your club mate, Leighton Buzzard? They were out in force.
I went 5.23 and came 38th overall.

I did it too. Also a referral from last year. PB of 5.36 for me:
Good swim at 31mins -managed to get ahead of the rinser and loved watching the sun come up as I glided along.
Quick bike -2.48 - Pishill road was as bad as it sounds but back down into Henley is always super quick.
sluggish run -2.09 - overheated.. shuffled.
Beat my previous time of 2016 by 15mins.
My 25th and probably last triathlon.

Nice work Martin
I went 39 for the swim, 2:44 bike but the run fell apart. My calf blew up with 4kms to go and I got passed by quite a few, ended up with a 1:50 run.
I enjoyed the bike but for two areas. that Fairmile stretch with those indents in the tarmac were a right pain and the section at Pishill (?) that was basically a surface good for testing off road vehicles! saw quite a few ejected bottles!
I thought on the whole, the race and org was good but that whole entrance/exit lane leading into the park was a bloody disaster and I'm amazed there were no accidents.

Agree. recipe for disaster that exit area. And Pishill deserves its name!
It's a nice vibe event though, not too OTT or full of testosterone.
Maybe I'll do the Aquabike sometime. I'm done with 2hr shuffles.

hehe yeah, i was thinking about the marathon in the upcoming Tenby LCW and convinced myself that a Sunday with the family would be a much nicer idea.
Thanks to that run trail, I'm much better at dodging dog walkers than I was before!

I did this too - first F3 event for me and 17th middle distance tri. Well done to all for doing it - times are all relative! 5hrs 46 mins for me but I was pleased to complete the distance and may return in a few weeks for the next one.
Enjoyed the sun on the run!

Well done Happy. This was my 2nd F3 event, I did the Eaton Dorney Duathlon back in Feb. They seem well organised and I like the StuWeb timing print out that get straight after.
