It seems you could pick the full Sky team again, and still have some change. With a TTT and points for having a teammate high on the GC every day you are pretty much guaranteed a good score.

Last year was blown wide open by Sagan going out. In previous years he has been a must have, has he been racing much this year? I haven't heard his name mentioned like usual.

For me, Froome is the only proven GC rider, all the others seem to have a weakness, be it TT, climbing or just bad luck/racecraft. Having said that I hope the other teams decide they have to attack to see if he has recovered from the Giro, and they take it to him from the start. The longer they wait the less chance I think they have.

Is it a case of finding Froome's weak point, or Team Sky's? If Froome can be isolated earlier and more often, it opens things up.

Aren't they paying a visit to the cobbles again this year? has proven to be a weak point previously, guessing he'll have practiced this time knowing Sky's approach, maybe

And that's me in too... (I thought it was an Aspirin).

I have absolutely no idea who most of the riders are so went for a good random selection.

Even then I suspect my finish will be higher than my average Tri placing.

I have no clue who he is or how good he is, but Jack Bauer is always on my team. Smile

It is a good name!
He's actually on the photo I posted in the Froome cleared thread. He's the Garmin [Cervelo/Sharp?] rider in blue under the 250m sign

Might as well give this another go. In as Pedal On. I prefer to spread it about rather than stategically targetting Sky for example. Makes it more interesting, but no doubt mid table mediocrity once again.

Yep, game over! Just went to tinker with my selection...
I wonder if is to do with fact that the Tour has its own version now.

Eh? Shocked

Quote:
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Due to a recent legal notice, entries into the current Fantasy Grand Tour game are currently suspended until further notice.

It is fair to say I am absolutely gutted about this turn of events, but do not want to comment further until the situation progresses.

At present it is looking unlikely that the current Fantasy Grand Tour game will go ahead as planned.

Yours in fantasy cycling, George

Obviously don't know the details but I cannot see how a fantasy league could impinge on any copyrights etc... would be fascinated to know what legal reason they've been taken down over...

Even if the TdF has branding/TM protection etc. it would imply that betting shops, for example, couldn't bet on the Tour..

Pretty p1ss poor, IMO.

Considering how many years the guy has been running the website, this whole debacle makes me very sad. Don't pick on the little guys!

That is seriously not cool! TdF getting all Ironman and throwing their weight around.

I mean how is this impacitng their image/brand/bottom line? If they're trying to push traffic to their own version, then there's absolutely no bl00dy way i'll be going on it!!

Sad really.

Precisely. It's not a commercial enterprise. Whilst in football you have EA Sports paying licence fees to use team names, player names, logos etc, on FIFA, whereas on PES they just don't bother and have teams like "north london red" and "north london white", fantasy sports is a totally different thing altogether.

I cannot believe every single premier league fantasy portal is paying the EPL to use team names and player names.

It's a joke. More so that they are being so selective about it. ASO were perfectly happy for him to run a Dauphine game a few weeks ago, which I played as part of the season long series and got me watching more of the Dauphine than I ever normally would. He was driving traffic to their events.

So now we need to sign up to get a whole heap of commercial spam instead of a super-friendly fun approach to following the Tour?

Assuming they are behind it - seriously, f.. off ASO.

Velogames would have made me follow the Tour more than I will without it.
