Has anyone done the Ben Nevis Braveheart half? Any good?

Looking for something a bit difficult to do next year and this has got my interest Shocked Very Happy

I saw that pop up on facebook this morning. Looks good. They say you can wear boots and gloves in the swim but no mention of the water temp. Guessing it's cold.

Bike has some neutralised bit where cycle or of town and no over taking .

If you are looking for something hard check out the Helvellyn tri. Tough bike course including a climb up the struggle. Run is up helvellyn. Cheap to enter as well

Does Helvellyn require much in the way of self navigation as I suck at it, thinking Ben Nevis would be better as just follows the tourist path up and down!

I've fancied doing this race a couple of times, but it's a long trek up to Fort William and the roads aren't great past Glasgow.

The run at Helvellyn is pretty straightforward, unless you are in front there is a steady line of people marking the route, with marshals in a few of the main parts. It's fairly hard to go wrong really.
