I'm tempted to start a thread titled "I'm thinking of doing 50IM's in 50 days..any thoughts"

That is a whole world of stupid. I've got a couple of friends / clubmates who have gone down the whole Instagram motivational fitness blog thing. I guess it's a new fitness industry. I'll stick to posting pictures of my cat.

You'd have thought they'd at least do some homework and read up on the deca-nutters before drawing such a silly line in the sand.

Ok, I'm just catching up on all this, but there's a lot of reference to the Iron Cowboy (admittedly never heard of him). His website is so bombastic I wanted to throw up - he does get a lot of stick also on ST.
But one specific point which confuses me:
Quote: | They also said -
“You can’t do 22 half ironman 70.3 races in 30 weeks!”
YES I CAN, and I DID!! (Guinness World Record) |
Am I missing something? It's a world record to do 22 HIM in 30 weeks? Do they have to be 'official' HIM or something?
Even as a lazy, slow triathlete I'm pretty sure I could achieve this if I set my mind to it (and clearly most people on here could do it) - that's only one each weekend with a few weeks off every now and again...?!
What am I missing

TBF it irritated the hell out of me ( I know, I know, I clearly don't have much else to worry about) that some boarderline personality disorder 'fitness star' declares that she'll do 50 IMs in 50 days.
