Yeah just saw him posting about swimming on the course this morning. So either he's pumping it all up for the sponsors BE13 etc (bit callous even for a brand in my opinion) or it's just the rumour mill.

I think he'll do a 'Hail Mary' and step off the run course, much like the Challenge Championship last year.

Hmm that was different though, he wasn't injured was he as he smashed the Leeds ITU the next weekend.

That was a top class race. Lucy proving she can bike with Ryf and then running close to a PB.
Decent coverage too.

You think? It looked like she tried to drop her at about 70km.
Plus if she was we are saying she can smash 4 hours Shocked

For sure, that gap ain’t big enough for a Ryf-ination.
That was not the dojo domination we’ve come to expect.
I think sub-4 is achievable for her, but...

...why? A win is a win and getting the “preem” (PRIME!!!) for the SBR/course record is there, too.
Why smash it now, then not be able to break your own records later?

Frankfurt was better than this...looking forward to the men’s race now

Ali looking smooth on the run. Putting time into them already in the first mile.
Hopefully his legs hold up.

EDIT: he’s 10 seconds back in 3rd after 5km Laughing

Probably the best race in a 70.3 ever (coincidence they're all olymipans?).

Good result for AB given lack of racing/form this year.

Good race in the end. Ali a bit naive at the start I think which cost him the time after 5k. He then dug deep to come back but group was already off. A few seconds a mile slower for first 3 miles could have been a different race. I also wonder about his fitness. Next year could be very interesting.

AB is not at the very top of his game at the moment, while Jan Frodeno is supposedly at peak fitness, if AB manages to continue recovery and avoid new injuries, he will be hard to beat

Great racing from Adam Bowden.
IIRC, he was plucked by BRitTri to be a “pilot” without being able to swim???

This was about a decade ago.
The times those three just laid down Show the gulf between the guys who do non-drafting all of their career to those who can and do race the ITU circuit, then make the move up.

That funding and support network makes a huge difference.

I think that's the French pronunciation, from cycling.

From what little I saw of it, the streaming was lamentable on the Men's race. I hope they grip this for Kona - Red Bull TV again maybe.
