Is Triathlon a religion?

Without getting into too much theoretical detail, some of the similarities are striking:

You think about it a lot
you do it a lot
you meet with like minded others at regular intervals (club training, events)
you follow a daily regimen (try and eat well, sleep well, etc)
work towards an ultimate goal ('A' race)
I could go on...

who's going to start a Petition to get it instated as an option on all those infernal Forms. Let's see if we can out number the Jedis Very Happy Laughing

I would class it more as a 'condition' with which we are afflicted.

it is possibly a way of life, but it hardly classifies as a religion...

and maybe even more so when people increasingly don't have much or any 'conventional' religion.

Its not a religion as you don't declare others to be heretics and try and burn them.

Or wear silly bowler hats, towel based headgear or orange vests.
