A quick update on Daz's progress on his LEJOG jaunt. Today is his fifth full day and despite a very long day yesterday he is feeling not too bad and is in good spirits! His legs are "f%cked" but then he did do 120 miles yesterday (around 10 hours of pedalling) Exclamation

He stayed at mine last night and was well fed and watered and with only a relatively short day today (70 miles) he should get through OK. He's due to rendezvous with Cobbie later today - camping in Ullswater.

I forgot to add that I take my hat off to him. Despite travelling unbelievably lightly considering the nature of what he is undertaking, I could scarcely lift the back end of his bike off the ground! The slightest incline must seem like Alpe d'Huez Exclamation

Daz has arranged to watch the England v T&T game at my place near Dumfries tomorrow.

I will tell him about this thread while he is here.

I was going to get some grub in for him, any ideas from anyone that knows him? Confused

Harry.

Agreed, I think I did a cheese omlette for him when I had him round for lunch.

Give him my regards, and make sure you check his bike over for him. Great cyclist, totally mechanicaly incompetent Wink

He told me he eats anything - I did chicken casserole with veg and new potatoes, followed by apple pie and ice cream. And he put away a tidy breakfast this morning - but then if I had 70 miles ahead of me I'd be doing the same Very Happy

Wish him all the best for the rest of the trip - if he is going to be in Dumfries tomorrow that is a great effort.
