Shame to see some of these comments on tt, esp at this time of year. Its difficult to express yourself on a forum generally, let alone during heated exchanges when the virtual red mist descends.

But Ive met a lot of people on tt and have yet to meet a bad egg. I personally prefer it when people express their own views without having to edit themselves and become all PC (like some forums I know!). With that in mind I think we should take some peoples comments with a pinch of salt. We're triathletes for gods sake, hard as nails. Cool

When I started posting it wasn't the off season and there was a ten page slagging of Hywel. Is it possible these things come in waves? Like the severn bore for example.....

Or could it be that it is the off season that is causing the ill feeling?

Or could it be associated with exessive drinking in the festive period and related hangovers?

Or could it be symptomatic of a greater social malaise?

Or could it be the mild mannered janitor?

I cant be bothered cos I'm too fat, but if you looked at the forum between Nov and Feb a year ago it was EXACTLY the same. Lots of soul-searching. It got to a stage where I thought I couldn't be bothered. But then I needed a recommendation for a new stem around March and it was back with a vengeance because by then everyone was wondering about nutritution strategies etc again

(As said elsewhere) I think it also to do with the forum hacking. We were all happily discussing bits and bobs then had to go over to tri-temp where there were very few real posts because it hardly seemed worth discussing an issue in a temp forum. So everyone just messed around and cracked jokes. Then we all came back over to TT with the same attitude and still haven't picked up on any real topics we can all get our teeth into. So it's just been a load of messing around.
