Thanks for the reminder - I had heard on the radio they were doing a one off, but had forgotten when it was on.

As I watch such little TV I had forgotten completely about it. Setting a reminder on the fone now.

First series was great but they completely f***ed it up in the second

Don't think it'd work so well nowadays - most will just say "get a life, you sad morons" and switch over to watch something far more cynical! Very Happy

i so disagree with you there robert. both were great. this is one of the best series i've ever seen on TV. i started watching at the start of the second series in 97, and have since watched the whole lot in full twice. so looking forward for tonight. if anyone else is in the same boat, there is loads of 'special features' footage on the bbc website

I think I need a cold shower...

Nah - milly (or whatever the spelling)

Don't suppose anyone facnies YouTubing this for someone who's a long way from the BBC?

Just thinking back now. I was at uni for the last ever episode (the wedding...) - I got down to the common room in plenty of time and by about 5mins before there was standing room only.

I can't believe it's been ten years since this was first on TV.

I Also can't belive how this still hits abosolutely the right spot for me, but I guess that everyone who is the same age as the group can see something of themselves in one of the characters.

I want more.

I couldn't believe how good it was (for the first 40 minutes or so anyway). I agree that it is a bit of a generational thing, I imagine a 20 year old watching it for the first time just wouldn't "get it". I also thought it amazing how they all looked just the same (bar Miles of course). Then I watched the 10 minute "making of" at 1020pm and realised with a shock how DIFFERENT they all actually were. I don't think I've changed either.........

The insights were spot on. Especially Miles' speech about how women want men to be providers, and also get home by 6pm.

I stared very hard at Bel, when he said that. OMG

I thought that I was going to be a bit disappointed, but I actually really enjoyed it. I can remember one of my mates actually changing course at uni because he wanted to do law after watching This Life.

I liked the documentary girls line at the end, fairly amusing.

Anna doses it for me every time.
