Anyone watching this on Ch4? At first I thought it was going to be pants, especially given the events (curling????) but now I can see it's weighted towards technique rather than just fitness.

Can't wait to see Gail Porter tackle Mel C in the judo Twisted Evil

mmmmmm, Gail Porter.

Mel C will win overall although Tanya may take her on the 100m & hurdles.

I turned off last nights as it had too much of the Big Brother feel to it and they strung it out for far too long. I'll start watching when they start competing for real (tonight?). Although I guess each night they will only show one male and one female event, so an hour long will still be too much.

As for the males - well, it would be much more exciting if one of the events was Ultimate Fighting. I'd love to see Bobby Davro and James Hewitt get down to some eye gouging in a cage.

Ditto, especially when she was projected on the Houses of Parliament! Twisted Evil

Strange you should say that, it's made by the same lot that did BB (endemol productions). They will only be doing one event per evening, but I hope they won't be tempted to make it soap-y Evil or Very Mad

Was anyone else really impressed with the swim by Terri and Mel C? 32 secs for 50m is bl**dy quick. Wish I could do it that quick. Terri was at the turn in 14 seconds!

I know, I couldnt believe that. Surely it cant be right!?

With a good tumble turn I'd prob do around 37 only!

Do you think the pontoon was moved further along the 25m mark in the (50m) pool ? There is now ay they could swim that quick even with a crash course.

Thank God - I thought it was only me! At first I thought they had to do another 2 lengths - that was waaaaaaaay too quick, even with training. And they apparently only improved by 5 secs a length - that's still better than me.... Embarassed

I don't want to be ungratious but the more I think about it the more those times are bull**it. 32 secs would have put Terri 5th in heat 2 of the Sydney olympics womens 50m Free Exclamation . I've just checked, the British short course womens 50m free were swum last year - average times were 26 - 27 secs and these are the best in the country.

I reckon it must have been a short 50m.

What's next, Gail Porter doing the 100m in 9.85?

Actually, I'll lay off Gail 'cos she's lovely.

Who 'd have thought - Mel C last in the hurdles. I reckon Miss World is doing really well - another 5 metres and she'd have won it last night and she wasn't far behind in the swimming either.

Then I realised it was only 70m.... Embarassed

I am so gutted that Gail Porter has had to pull out. I will now not get to see her grappling with Miss World in Judo Crying or Very sad
