Thought somebody needed to get this thread going

ALDI are doing some gear from nest thursday and they are also stocking a type of Camelbak (not an actual camelbak) which is suitable for cycling and running and can hold 2 litres of fluid and other equipment for 8.99.

Tried the Aldi kit I bought last week this morning- its good. Winter trousers Jacket & gloves- not waterproof but kept me warm when the skies opened this morning.

Wish I'd tried the waterproof trousers, but was saving them for standing on the terrace in the rain to watch the rugby - but it didn't rain.

Aldi tri gear is great for the price but it does not wick (lose sweat or water) like the more expensive clothing out there and tends to be slightly thicker which means you carry more sweat and water around with you

Havent tried the outdoor wear but all I can say is , it doesnt matter how much it costs cheap or expensive, if it dont keep you warm or dryish then dont waste your money as it will stop you going out training ......in which case all the money is wasted regardless of initial outlay
