I have put on weight due to no training for around three or four months now.

Have tummy and more than one chin plus puffy face. No idea what I actually weigh though as refuse to possess scales. Shall be commuting into work three times a week minimum, four where possible. When TT's are over shall start running again. Hope to loose the weight just in time to put it all back on over xmas!

Running is the key! But there's always high stress, that seems to do it for me, puts the "nerv" in "anorexia nervosa".

I've lost three pounds in two weeks since IMUK. Probably lost muscle mass. Hardly a whippet but I need a new hole in my belt.

I think between the two of us we should be able to account for everyone's lost pounds.

Think I'm going to have to get a tape measure and use that instead of scales. That plus chin counting. Rolling Eyes

Yep just scared myself on some scales

I think I have also helped collect some of those lost pounds

Oh well think I can manage some short runs - lots of those will help

Hate running only do it because of tri and the weight loss benefits - however love running races just wish I was a natural

Cripes - what's wrong with you! You don't want to buy scales that actually work!

Quite right Bel

I was detrmined to use the FRIENDLY scales but the guy in the gym guilted me into using the accurate ones even after he had told me how much heavier he weighs on them

Wow, a thread that has lasted for almost two years, older than the Phwoar thread ... can I join?

Current weight: Back up to 13stone from 12st 6lb at London Tri one month ago (ooppps!)
Max weight: 14st 9lb last year before getting in to tri's
Aim: 12st first, then ideally 11st 7lb

Was doing really well up to London, but have fallen into bad habits (booze, chocolate, cakes, fish and chips, cream teas, pastys, curry ... and that was just last week)

Have also got back on to two chcoclate bars a day somehow - must stop

Don;t know about this BMI thing - my scales calculate it butit hasn't changed since losing weight (before I put it back on again) - must be broken I guess.

Anyone want to join me in a spot of "I haven;t eaten chocolate for x days" rivalry - had a snickers today, so starts tomorrow Very Happy

TRI Monkey - when you say "chocolate", do you include Choc & Raisin Geobars in that? They are really cereal bars. And aren't very choclately.

If we're going to resurrect this thread, I may hitch a ride. 2 years ago, I weighed 2 stone less than I do now. I marvel at how I managed that. I *was* running a lot, I know. But how does it sneak back on without you noticing it, when it's gradual?

At last someone said what a load of **** bmi is. I am 9% bodyfat but according to BMI I am dangerously obese. Its applicable to the totally untrained but totally useless to an athlete, but still gyms go on about it and GP's dictate it, grrr! Echos of Mr Atkins tragic mistake comes to mind . . . . RIP!

Feel the coming of the fat club thread...

I have visited the scales in Boots the Chemists once more.

I've grown 3cm aparently, but here are the readings:

Weight 14st 3lbs - 90.1kg
BMI 26.

Hardcore. I'm now technically overweight.

According to my training diary (which was quite well populated up till 23/07/06) I'm as heavy as I was in July, but 3kg heavier than I was this time last year. Bonza.

Let me at that tasty salad. Crying or Very sad

I've just tipped the scales at 12 stone for the first time in a very long time Sad
Whilst not obese I am uncomfortable, should really be around the 11 stone mark. Bum.

Hanna- congratulations btw Smile
