Can I have your votes for the best and worst tri of the year in your honest opinion. Try not to take your performance into account but rather - venue, organisation, goody bags, price, course (inc accurately measured, sherborne Mad ), etc

Bit difficult personally as loved all of them, but will go for:

Best - London Tri (great atmos, spectator friendly and fun course)
Worst - Sherborne (costly and innacurate course measurements)

Mmmmm, Confused
will have to think about this one since it's difficult not to take your performance into account since that leaves you on a high Very Happy or a low Sad Also the weather since one of mine started with thunder and lightening Shocked and I was anxious about slipping on the bike. Will have to go and ponder Confused

This is a difficult question 'cos I enjoy them all Razz

I don't like picking a worst because a lot of people put a lot of hard work into the organisation, but I suppose if I was forced I would say Cheshire sprint tri was v. expensive (35 Evil or Very Mad ) for a sprint - so is not great value for money.

The best.....well I would have to say Pembrokeshire. Everything about it was superb, I really couldn't fault it (I suppose the 2 lap run round the port is a bit dull).

After much pondering, weighing up, looking at all angles, I have some type of conclusion Smile
Found East Grinstead to be well organised, good marshalling, a "vest" in goodie bag that actually fitted me Shocked cycle route fine. Only slight down side was the distance from where we had to park the cars to the venue with all our "bits", and the run was thro' streets-n-houses so not brilliantly interesting.

Most challenging was Crowborough, from the longer than usual 750m pool swim, to running across a cinder track in bare feet to T1, to the endless uphill bike sections that never seemed to come down, and the 5 lap run around the field that contained a (what came to be) killer hill Surprised ---but all this made for a very friendly end with plenty of talking points Smile

your a hard task master, Sad
don't know that any where that bad -only weather wise, ordering thunder and lightening wasn't a good idea for Burgess Hill, even though it was flatish. And I enjoyed 7oaks --so where does that leave me Confused I'm so new to this that I enjoy everything Very Happy Maybe next season I'll have some gripes Wink

Best: Sevenoaks - fast swim Very Happy , challenging technical bike course, and lovely run through Knole Park with deer included.

Worst: has to be Ongar but that's only coz of the problems in getting there and the frozen shoulder I got in the swim!

I have to agree with connor on best tri of the year. The Boundary Breeze, a great sprint tri just outside manchester. Nice swim, undulating bike course and a run through the woods by the side of the lake. And i forgot to mention that i knocked 6 minutes off my time here from when i did it in 2001 Laughing It only Just pipped the Sprint tri in Banbury Crying or Very sad

Unfortunately the worst one of the year had to be Stratford, nice setting and nice course but setting one person off every 20 seconds for a pool triathlon is madness, caused carnage in the pool early on when their was some suspicious swim times knocking about Confused . The swim has dropped to 400m for 2004 but i still think they will have trouble if they set people off at 20 seconds!!!!!!!!!!!
