Oh dear, I only got two right.
But then I'm just a life-long fan of their music, not a complete nerd

Welcome to the thread Stedic.
Rush are the greatest rock ban on this (or any) planet. |
Ah, so One Direction for old people?

Well, if 1D have achieved 24 gold, 14 platinum, and 3 multi-platinum albums over 47 years then, yes.
Oh sh1t. I really am old, aren't I?

Yeah, bummer .. That seems to have been the thread all the way since R40 was announced. I'm really disappointed that they couldn't have toured the UK/Europe as a final farewell and thankyou to all us Rushaholics over here
Having toured for x... dates, adding on an extra month wouldn't have been out of the bounds of possibility. It's clear that Geddy and Alex were up for it so, although Neil Peart says he wants to concentrate on his family, he's always looked upon touring as a necessary evil but a bit of a chore, so this has been real cop out. If it really is the last time we'll see them, it has turned out to be a bit of a fizzle rather than a streak of lightning that flashes and fades in the summer sky
For myself, having seen them first in 1979 as a teenager & all through the years since with albums/CDs/DVDs/Live shows etc, I still can't help feeling a bit let down - nobody wants to call NP the Yoko Ono of Rush!!
.... still, on a brighter note, the past year has been awesome for all us Vinyl hounds. I've refreshed the entire collection including the rarest of the rare....Counterparts and never before released T4E
January will bring S&A and Feedback which will round off the collection nicely; Mmmmm ... feel that beautiful analogue sound
