Just been looking at this...

Kinda tempted with the Novice event for my first Tri... anyone done this one before, would it be a good place to start?

which event CC> I did the stratford novice as my first tri last year and it was fun. pool was a bit busy, bike ride was nice and the run was a bit of an assault course.
I then did the sprint distance in cheshire and that was great fun ( very cold outdoor pool!)

heres a rep from the cheshire race

I was thinking Stratford, but I have car, can drive... haven't looked at the map, but I think Cheshire is further from London.

Looks like Stratford it could be for me then!

Nice report by the way. Don't like the sound of cold outdoor pools. I'm a bit of a wuss really, do like the sound of a nice bacon sarnie afterwards though. A man needs his rewards.

One of the instructors at the Gym i attend did Trentham (5 min away from my house Very Happy ) said it was ok but the swim was a nightmare, due to bad water conditions, apparently there is a lot of mud and silt so water just gets full of grit and gets very very cloudy and just fills your mouth and nose and any were else it can get.

However he also said the rest of it was ok, so itís so close I think I might just give it ago

Any one done Ironbridge??
