Better late than never! My Kona race report is on my blog that covers the lead up to Kona as well as my race report. Scroll down to the entry "Saturday 13th October - Race day".

I also have some pictures on there, scroll a bit further and you will get the IMUK race report. 2 for the price of 1 Smile

Hopefully. I really feel like I can do better Smile

Ideally I will get a place at Florida 2008 so I have allllll of 2009 to get ready. I learnt so much and it was an amazing experience and if I am lucky enough to get another slot, then so be it, I'll go back and give it another go.

That sounds so tough, well done for getting round. You must be really proud of the fact that you still finished.

caro -

Well done. Mucho respect. Worship I've known people to put on SPF50 sunscreen the day before, at night, and again in the morning before the race!

As for the hospital bill ... that's why universal healthcare is such a hot-button issue in the US. Imagine not having insurance and getting socked with that.

Again, well done!

Hey Carolyn

The day might not have worked out like you'd hoped but you toughed it out with some serious spirit and guts that demands respect.

Hope you're recovering well and getting back on form.

Cheers

Steve

Thank you!

All UK based people will get to see my pain in all it's glory...I had a camera crew all over me filming for the triathlon series going out on Channel 4 at the moment.

No date at this stage but it is anticipated to be somewhere at the end of November. This Sunday 8am is the IMUK show. I'll post when I know when the Kona show is.

Carolyn

Awesome race report and awesome performance as well. Hats off to you. To run a 4:16 marathon in those conditions after such a bad bike experience is incredible. That time alone would have got you into the top third of this year's FLM, which was only about 75 degrees!

amazing performance Carolyn - just keeping going was a fantastic achievement, but to do 13 hours under those conditions is incredible.

Less impressive is the healthcare bill - were the drugs worth all that?
