Hi All
Sorry if this is a much-repeated query but can someone tell me if there's a place in TT where you can devise, edit and update a tri season training plan - including planned races?
If not in TT somewhere else online? I've seen that some of the TT bloggers put these details in, but I was thinking more of something more like an electronic wall planner etc...
Training Peaks do exactly that but for me it's a way of communicating with a coach. He uploads the plan and the site email me daily with today's and tomorrow's session (as well as having weekly/monthly charts to view). I then upload the info on completion to TP and coach comments on it. It's a central place where we can both post things (like graphs, power readings, HR charts, and general feelings), know where to find them and not have them lost in a busy email inbox. Not sure how it'd work if you're on your own but it may have that facility...

2008 Keswick, Dales, Bala, Austria
2009 Stuc, Jura, Glen Rosa, 2 Breweries, Pentland (hill races)
2010 Lochaber, Dales, Day in the Lakes, Borrowdale, Powerman

Just set up a training diary and 2008 race list on Base2Race, seems easy to use and might give me the kick up the arse to actually do some proper training.

Good luck JesseD and thanks to Andy S and Edwarma for the recommendations too.

First Tri this April and have been training up for it, doing 6 nights per week (1 hour per night) of Bike/Run/Swim each night and then repeat. I have started to combine the bike and run now and therefore not sure what to do on what night. I have looged into base2race and it looks good and simple to use but where is the best info to determine the actual plan? I am unsure now what to do and when, as I do not want to do same training on consecutive nights for danger of over training etc.
I know there are a lot of sites out there with free training plans but any recommendations?

Does anyone else still use 'mandraulic' methods? I have a stack of old A5 diaries with all my stuff in; Ergomo files are my only concession to IT. Being my own Yoda means I don't have to send them to anyone I suppose. If it was good enough for the likes of Scott & Allen 20-odd years ago
Maybe when I become a Vet in a few years, I'll get with the times!

http://www.base2race.com/ looks pretty good. For anyone currently using it, can you give me a heads up on how to get the most out of it? The documentation is lacking to say the least.
I'd typically use Joe Friels spreadsheet to planning my training. How can I use Base2race more effectively? Seems a little limited on options.

I started keeping a paper diary at the begining of January, got myself a nice Moleskin note book. I actually find it eaiser you flick through and see progresion, why I'm feeling off etc than looking at some graph. Plus I like the feeling of being a bit old school.
it is also eaiser to update on the fly.
I do upload all my garmin files to Training peaks and Garmin conect though mainly so the coach can see them but also because I like looking at preaty graphs and maps.
