Has anyone else christened their bike? Mine unfortunately got called Daisy. Stems from the fact that I never got to call any of my pets Daisy, so the bike got it! She is lovely though!

I've named my Mini's but not the bike. Mini's are/were called Monte, Booboo and Rhubarb. If the bike is referred to its "slow pile of crap" so maybe that's its name? The Smart and motorbike don't get a name either as they don't have the personality for it.

Is that enough to get me committed or shall I carry on? Embarassed

One of them is a special edition, a Cooper Monte Carlo. Rhubarb I painted with red hammerite so red-rhubarb. Booboo was named by my wife and she said that name suited its personality.

Booboo rusted away and was scrapped earlier this year. Rhubarb I sold because I was getting fed up with working on it all the time and Monte is still in the garage, all safe and sound. Monte was our first car and we used the honeymoon money for a deposit to buy him. Used him as our wedding car, pic here:

Arrrrr.

Wouldn't exactly say that it has a name but it has been called a number of things which aren't repeatable on this site when things have gone wrong with it! Shocked

Ditto, although after a 100Km-er it's usually something along the lines of "come on, girl, get me home"!

Rrrrr how sweet. Nah don't name mine either, but maybe I should. We do have a good relationship me and the racing bike. If the racing bike doesn't perform then I take it out on the training bike. It's a trek so it can take a good kicking!

I'm just exacting the same type of damage that the bike inflicts on my bank account!

My bike is too new its wheels are not even dirty yet. I had a swimming lesson last night so couldnt go out to play.

So as yet it hasnt a name but I will choose one soon. I guess wether I can tell you all its name will depend as to how much I fall off of it as I have fallen of of both my previous bkes as I have tried to get used to them.

For me things only get a name when they start becomming a pain in the backside.

My 65 VW Beetle is going by the name Christine, (as in Stephen King's book) after one torrid week where the accelerator fell off (when driving), the brakes completely failed (when driving again) and the steering locked (again when driving).

After that I put the car in my garage and left it there for eight months.

I've only just got the MOT done on it. Somehow in the eight month gap, the headlights decided to stick on main beam, little blue light on all the time, which is interesting as because it's such an old car there isn't actually a switch for main beam. So I'm a tad confused. Still it was fixed by the garage for the MOT...

but now the radio is doing strange things. I'm scared.... I'm selling it...
