Dre, get a roof rack fitted and go for a continental carrier - holds the back wheel, front forks are bolted onto rack, front wheel in boot. Much less risk of getting damaged by stupid ****wits who drive too close and clip the wheels of the bike sticking out.

As for food, I'm just going to enjoy a plateful of fettucine with wild salmon and creme fraiche and dill (downed with a Chablis), a roasted sea-bass with drunken roast potatoes (a Sancerre is best for this one), fresh dark chocolate mousse (with a dessert wine) and half a bottle of limoncello to digest it all at the end. Razz Cool

I'm going to have to do an IM just to work that lot off! Evil or Very Mad

mmmmmm three turkeys.

I found that the roof rack mounted carriers are by far and away best method of transporting bike. Minimum faffing about and very secure. And can still get into boot on long journey to get the nappy bag which is buried at the bottom of everything when baby has shat.

I'm a recent convert to dessert wines - they are fantastic.

I love good food, and good Italian is some of the best too. We had a holiday in the Marche region a couple of years ago and the food was just amazing.

With two small kids now and trying to fit training in too I don't spend as long cooking as I used to, but still really enjoy it and love entertaining at weekends.

Aaah! Instilling self-doubt! The favourite psych tactic of athletes! Cool
