dre mate, think ill be doing pretty much the same there. prefer the cosy gym (with tv) for majority of bike work.

we'll have to go out and practise the bike technique, inc hill climbing, descending and cornering though!

personally ill prob do all this on my long sunday rides and spend rest of time indoors Very Happy

I'm no expert but am convinced that there is no substitute for the real thing. I'm trying to get one outside bikeride a week, usually sunday and for as long as I can over varied terrain just to get miles in the saddle. Just my opinion though.

nothing beats cold early morning rides (on the bike)

Don't dress too warm, or you'll sweat like a bugger. I think being freezing for a bit is good for the soul. Once you get going and nod your blue face to other nutters, you know it is worthwile.

And a cup of tea once back in doors is great.

Wot Chris said....

Nothing like losing feeling in your limbs and having friends use a blowtorch to prise your frozen hands from the handlebars! Twisted Evil

reminds meof that scene in dumb and dumber with the lampost....not that many would want to lick there bike....apart from me cos i like the taset of carbon in the morning!

nah ill be sticking indoors for all the hardwork and have one ride a week for the technique. but then i have a #@?# immune system, so its probably wise!

He he Very Happy

Shall I start a new thread - words that you would like to be censored and suitable alternatives. For instance when anyone types 'fcuk' it could appear as any word you choose.
