West Ham United

A long season ahead for the Mighty Irons I fear. Especially if Upson and Green go in January. I would settle for 4th from bottom now if it was offered.

The rumour is we have made a bid to bring Darren Anderton out of retirement. With his injury record he would fit right in.

There are a lot of people on this forum who despise the sport, that's fine - this thread is not for you and there are plenty of other threads about for you to look at. If you must vent your spleen (again) about your loathing of football that's your perogative. Rolling Eyes

So, footy fans, let us know who your team is and your view on the weekends action. Personally I can't wait for the January transfer window to open!

I assume this is to boost your relegation battle attempts. Wink

We're flying at the moment but it won't last much longer, the usual Xmas falloff is around the corner and the wafer thin squad will be found wanting come January... we are Burnley, Carling Cup semi finalists and currently fourth in the Championship!

A new strikeforce and a couple of new defenders are badly needed or else we are in real danger of going down.

We're only Michael Johnson away from having a very good midfield though.

You must be happy with your lot at the moment Monkey-Boy?!

Aldershot Town.

Finally back where we belong (fourth division). And protected against relegation by others' misfortune.

Also a hammers fan. It's so tight at the moment between those not challenging for top 4 slots that I can see alot more twists and turns before the end of the season. Concerned about how much money we need to raise to pay off Sheffield United and the effect the collapse of Icelandic owners' treasure chest is going to have come January. Good point yesterday and at Anfield the week before last though.

I'm a bit worried about playing your lot. It wont be an easy game at your ground and we don't like having the game taken to us.

Still think we'll win though. Very Happy

FFS! Your boss clears off on holiday and you're buzzing around the Girls Aloud thread and starting a TT rebellion by mentioning the F word before he's touched down Disbelief

I spent my first 13 years in Manchester, the damage was already done by the time I left. Being a City fan is more like a curse, which is why you don't get too many non-Mancs supporting them.

I'm a Gillingham fan. So far not having a bad season despite couple of dodgy away results earlier in the season (7-0 agaisnt Shrewsbury). Have been pants away from home for several seasons now, but getting better. Great home form. Only lost once in the league and that was the first home game.

AND!

January 4th. 1.30pm FA Cup 3rd Round ITV1
Gillingham v Aston Villa

Come on you Gills!

Without Ashton we look pretty lightweight upfront. Cole is definitely not a premiership striker and Ashton is made of glass. Hardworking in midfield but little creativity but at last starting to look a bit solid at the back. I think if we keep the squad together we may stay up but that is looking unlikely.
