I've done both Busso and NZ and wouldn't hear a thing said against either of them. Neither are inspiring courses, NZ is harder (esp the run - no real hills, but very little flat) but the places in general and particularly the people make it for you.

I'll probably go back to Busso first, but really regret not taking more time to see more of NZ while out there. That's the thing about IM - you spend best part of a week preparing for the event, and a few days recovering, so you get very little time to see the sights.

Haven't sorted mine yet and am aware its limited from a visit in 2007.

House trained, have cash and travelling light!

Is your pic from Brass Monkey JC? How long are you staying out for? Might be able to help with accommodation but will have to talk to dearly beloved.

Hi Guys

Anyone needing a squad to train with whilst you're over here should check out our program (mostly in / around Claremont) at http://www.theteamcore.com/weeklyprogram.html - more than welcome to join us to keep you ticking over. Drop me a PM.

Cheers

Paul

Doesn't that count as training JC? Glad to hear it's nothing too bad.

Thanks for the invite Swim Smooth but unless the jet lag is very bad I hope to be snoozing when you have most of your sessions! That is some schedule.

I'll add my name to the list. I'll be arriving in Busso this Monday! Plenty of training on the course over the next few weeks.

Lucky you Russ - I can't wait to be warm. Are you setting up base there for a while? I e-mailed the bike shop in Busso about possible bike hire but they haven't responded - now hoping they're still there so that I can at least borrow the odd allen key and a pedal spanner - my luggage allowance won't accommodate tools too!

I'll know soon whether to add my name: currently got achilles tendonitis and I have a physio session on Tuesday after which we'll assess whether I should pull out. Race entry in, flights booked and paid for, accommodation booked... just can't run at the moment.
