Sorry it is so long, but I wanted to capture as much as possible for my own memories.

http://i-must-try-harder.blogspot.com/2009/07/ironman-switzerland-2009-race-day.html

Thank you to everyone who has helped me on TT, for the advice and support. You lot inspired and keep inspiring me.
Special TT thanks to:
- RobQ = massive inspiration, gear loans, training advice, race advice and great mate,
- Mash180 = another massive inspiration, race advice, calming words and great mate,
- Sir Velo for the kind words and help post-crash
- Slacker for everything after the crash, and the very kind words.
- Badger for being awesome, inspiring me to give everything my best go and the supportive words
- MrsMash for all the warmth and listening to me prattle on.
- Wheezy for the unfaltering positivity.
- Mrs Slacko for the support. I thought about you and your words during the swim.

I know this has turned into an awards-style acceptance speech, but it is important to me to thank everyone.
Thanks TT.

Fantastic Phil. Really impressive stuff - especially considering that morning above Peaselake a few weeks before!

Very inspirational for my attempt to follow you next year.

What a fantastic race report! Felt like I was there with you! Damn dust flying in my eyes whilst reading it too making them a bit moist.

Your mum would be so proud of you hon. You are indeed an Ironman despite your recent injuries which shows sheer determination! You deserve the success you got and I hope you do equally well in your next endurance event, the channel swim!

Awesome effort Phil, well done.
