try broad haven (its right next to little haven), not normally too busy in the evening, although its not very sheltered. However on a calm, sunny evening its beautiful.

I think it's the other end of Pembs but I swam a couple of times at Newport a few weeks ago and that was fine. Great for body surfing too - you can really catch a wave well in a tri wetsuit - so buoyant.

The tri has dispensation to swim it as there are laods of you and safty boats?
Im sure I have a pic somewhere showing the "no swimming" sign and everyone swiming in the background.

Never actually seen the 'no swimming' signs to be honest, but have swam in their a few times this summer and last and not had a problem.

I've swam quite a bit around Tenby and Amroth. Tenby south beach is the cleanest and plenty of lifeguards. I used to swim out 400m then back and forth....Some nasty rips near the rocks so have a chat with the lifeguards how were really helpful when I chatted to them last summer.
