Years ago (circa 03/04) I read a HIM RR from an British guy doing his first HIM. It was without doubt the funniest RR I've ever read. I'm pretty sure the race was in the UK but the guy was definitely British and doing the race with a mate.

He wanted to know when the bike leg stopped for a coffee on the rides like his Grandad does. He laso wanted to stop for a bacon sandwich and there was a hilarious bit when he came out of T1 on the bike with the crowd cheering and he wrote something like:

'The crowd were me, yes me so I rode as fast as I could down the road, the crowd cheering. I am a cycling God, I am Lance Armstrong, I am,,,completely knackered and about to die' Very Happy

Something like that. The upshot was that he finished and ended up flying to Oz for the full IM IIRC.

Very long shot I know, but that RR made me laugh a lot and I wish I'd kept it. Don't suppose it rings any bells with anyone does it? Cool

Is that how Rooster started, fantastically written? And the references to Ferg too... highly impressed chaps... surprised I hadn't seen it before!

That was excellent. I'd forgotten about taking blocks of jelly to eat on bike rides.

Hilarious, I first read it early last year - I've much better control of my bladder these days.
