Computrainer like to bang on about how you can download any US topography (so you can train for 'your' ironman indoors/over the winter etc). I once spoke to somebody who claimed he had his set up for the IM lanzarote bike course. Anybody know where to get these?

Not sure I understand the question.

However, it plugs into your pc and you see 'the course' (with a ghost pacer if you want one) on your monitor.

Andy,

Not sure how this exactly works. I have a Tacx I Magic which basically you download a course to the PC then you can ride it - I assume its the same for computrainer. However these are extremely limited at the moment and only a couple of additional courses to the ones that come with the system.

I guess you've tried doing a search for 'Computrainer courses downloads' on the net? Maybe this guy is a clever programmer and knocked up Lanzarote on his own? Confused

TT

i mean.. what format are the course profiles in?

a plain text distance vs gradient or altitude should be pretty easy to do.

see my site for the ballbuster profile i made... would be quite easy to spit this data out for such a trainer if the format was simple enough.

Andy, I would like a copy of the Lanzarote course if you can get one, please. I got my Computrainer a couple of months back just as the turbo sessions dried up and the road was calling. Rolling Eyes That combined with recarpeting the flat meant that its still up in the roofspace waiting for the poor weather. I am looking at Lanzarote as next years IM so it would be v useful over the winter months. Laughing
