I'm in. Looking forward very much to the struggle, not looking forward to the descent from Kirkstone.
Time we started a list right ?

Not paid my money yet but I would need a broken leg to miss this event as it is a cracker.
Although I am still sulking from last September as TC beat me overall and most embarrassingly on the run. Come on TC - get entered so I can get my revenge on the tatty denim shorts.

add me to the list...
This should be a nice finale to my first season in triathlon. So far i'm signed up for the Horwich tri but that is in May so have a lot of time to fill before helvellyn.
What events will people be doing to build up to it?

Good luck - I did this as my 2nd ever triathlon and loved it but it was hard. I still had not got my head round things like transitions, biking off the swim and running off the bike. This race will test you but one of the best.
In terms of build up events, I would suggest you look at trying some of the Lake District fell races over summer. You can find them all on FRA website and this will get your head round the Helvellyn run. If you are comfortable with running downhill fast or practice it, you can make up a load of time on the Helvellyn Tri.

Took the liberty of updating the list.

Only kidding m8ey, I'm just milking this un til she runs dry.
Hey, its not like I hadn't finished 3rd at big woody IM the week b4, or not gotten to helvellyn til Midnight after a 4 half hour drive in rain/dark. Or was racing conservatively / safely for next weeks IM Wales. Ah well, I tried to give you a chance
But you can laff at me when I do sh1te at the Hobble next week...

I will console myself with the fact that I ended up at the Doctors the week after before hospital referral for chest x-rays. I was diagnosed with a chest infection so I like to think that had such a significant effect, it allowed you a rare opportunity to beat me on the run.
I'm happy to give you the occasional bit of glory.
Just off to Lakes now for weekend as it is my first time back since Helvellyn as I could not face it after the trauma of you beating me. Haweswater Half Marathon tomorrow although feeling rather tired as not bothered tapering.
