That's a very good question! Smile

I tend to do it after my Tuesday jog or my Thursday speed training, as I do both on a treadmill at the gym. But I only do it once per week.

Where ever I can!

Strength training goes before my short swim with swim club. Swimming starts at 8:45 and I tend to just sit around waiting for it so I go down the gym instead and warm up by lifing weights/rowing/cycling/running or what ever I feel like.

Tri training goes like this at the moment:

Sun: bike am, long swim pm
Mon: Run am
Tue: swim am, turbo bike pm
Wed: run am, gym/swim pm
Thu: turbo bike pm
Fri: run am
Sat: day off.

I say at the moment because I make it up as I go along, swopping things around to suit whatever is happening in my life. My favourite time at the moment is to do something at 6am, before work, as it doesn't seem to be time away from anything else and the Mrs doens't moan about it!

Andy it's shuch a good feeling knowing that when you get to work you have done more in the past 2 hours than more than half will do in the week. Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

i guess i just slide a few choice exercises when i get the chance.
when i do my midweek runs from work down to battersea i'll stop off 1-2 times at the exercise pen they have next to the athletics track. i stretch then do some chin-ups and tricep dips.
when in the gym for rest of midweek and sats ill do leg weights if i think i can handle it, and arm weights most of the time, unless i have a hard or long swim planned after. do 12reps.

For the legs I try to incorporate hills into my runs + bike rides.

I also do one or 2 weight sessions per week (time permittting) normally
after a short (5k) hilly run.

Guys,

Do you include the rest time between sessions in say the gym, and stretching exercises towards your total weekly training hours????
