oooh! Thant sounds tough. I cant be motivated/pushed by anyone else. It just makes me cross (What a child I am!) Evil or Very Mad However I can motivate and push myself quite effectivley. Recently been 'pushing' my sister in running. She seems to be responding well although if the situations were reversed I'd have told her to **** off by now. Twisted Evil

I am easily motivated, having someone shout at me makes me push myself harder. I also shout at myself sometimes. Shoud i seek help ?

also the thought of not finishing an Oly makes me try harder.

The thought of not finishing should even enter your head. To think that way means your contemplating it and setting up parameters to allow it. In fact, Iím surprised you said it.

It was explained to me like this (sorry if youíve heard it before): Put a scaffold board on the ground (or any wide plank of wood) and walk across it. No problems. You could do that all day. Put that same board 100ft high between two buildings and suddenly it becomes really hard, youíre nervous and full of fear. The only difference is your fear of falling. Because youíre now thinking about falling you stand a good chance of it happening. Donít contemplate the fall.

For me, Iím full of self motivation and donít like being pushed beyond or shouted at. I push myself when Iím ready and take it easy when I need to. For these reasons, I like to train alone and do my own thing.
