| markie r pretty much sums it up but it's still an interesting book. It's in big type and doesn't use any big words so ideal for bedtime reading.

I recently read this book and found it riveting..before I read it I had been a big Armstrong fan but after reading it I'm not to sure and It's not to do with the drugs but just how much of a bully he comes across as.
Anyway I thought it was a decent read.

yeah agreed about armstrong. A tiny little bit of what lance was really about was revealed in the infamous SIMEONI incident a few years ago in the tour, remember it?

I think it said that Postal were doing transfusions too, but Hamilton wasn't given the same treatment

the thing that really annoys me is that Sean Yates worked for postal when Tyler rode for them, and the went on to work for CSC tiscali when hamilton rode for them too, and yet has never mentioned anything about any doping or drug use, and now works for sky because they apparently have a totally drug free approach to cycling and all of their riders are clean and always have been.

You know in a job interview when you get to ask them a question? Do you think Sean asks "Do you have systematic doping on your team?" and needs a "Yes, of course we do!", before he signs to work for them?

It probably went more like this
Brailsford: 'So Yatez, do you think ve haff any doping in zee teeeam, ja?'
Yates: 'I just wanna job, like.'
Brailsford: 'You speak of doping again and vee vill keeeel all your family, ja?'
Yates: 'Where do i sign?'

I remeber when sky were launched and there was Yates and shane sutton at a press conference.
member of cycling press: "so what will team sky do about doping in the sport?"
Yates: "we'll have our own in house doping programme"
Member of cycling press: "don't you mean anti doping programme?"
Yayes: "erm yeah that yeah"
