not really. swexd000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

sorry, that was The Cat Cool after my breakfast slop.

where was I, the swim's just the 2.4m swim. ok it might hurt if it's rough or very swelly. those who've done the only real IM Wales in 2011 shouldnt be afraid of that. If it's so rough then the swim would have to be shortened, like happened at XMan.

Bike - erm, that XMan word again - but it's not like it's an overnight MTB like XMan , it's just 112 daylight road miles. The hills are the same for everyone - bring em on Twisted Evil Very Happy

Done the run on Day3 of VO2 Jurassic Challenge (which I spose is a good warm up event, all 3 days or just the one, it's fab Thumbs Up ) and the hills along here are, as all we veteran non-freaks know, wonderful opportunities to rest n recover the running legs. I'm assuming it will go go right round Old Harry Rocks like JCC but stop short at Studland rather than down the beach and on towards the Sandbanks Chain Ferry.

OK so it may hurt a bit, but it's all very do-able, and the cut off probably wont be the same as a mere ordinary IM, so I expect this one to be well sold out in a flash. :I'mInterested: Very Happy

Hopefully like XMan or JCC there may be some transport from the finish the day or early am! before so you can leave your car there, or get taken back to the finish. Or maybe it will be compulsory to be followed by a crew like Norseman / Brutal.. (hope not, maybe optional if your stupid enough to DIY)

I think this is the first post you've ever made in the events catagory where you haven't challenged somebody to some kind of smashfest smackdown bumfest. are you going soft?

This looks interesting Smile

The only thing putting me off is that it is a long walk back to get your wetsuit.

that logistical question is indeed the main poser about this i.e. is crew required?

Nah, the walk is back to pick your bike up. You can bike back from there to get your wetsuit.

But it does sound tempting...

Still sorting details, but it will be a transport type event - rather than crew required...

Will have more information next week.

Its a pity that the Smugglers Run 24hr jobbie isn't a week earlier otherwise you could bookend them onto a nice 2 week family holiday on the South Coast
