Yep, got mine. Lane 4 starting on the 1/2 hour. Does mean it might be a bit tight to get to Bournemouth for the A2A race brief afterwards but hopefully should make it in time. I've also been lucky in that the 2 other people I train with who are doing it and are about the same speed as me are also in the same lane at the same time. So should be able to rotate the draft I hope.

Quite looking forward to it now but don't really know what to expect. The nutritional side will be interesting as we should have a decent amount of time to eat between miles.

I see you're on the hour. Probably won't actually see you much as a result but hope it goes well. I'm going to try my wetsuit on tonight for the first time this year to make sure it still fits.

Whats your plan with regards to how fast you are going to do the mile repeats?

I'm going to be plodding at about 33-35 mins and see what happens.

Hoping to be about 28 minutes for mine. Suspect I'll be much faster to start with and slow towards the end a lot.

Tried swimming with my wetsuit in the pool last night. Much faster than normal so this will also make a difference to my swim times. Not intending anything more than plodding though.

I'm still swimming normally. This is probably not wise.

So swim this morning, this evening, tomorrow morning, Wednesday morning and Wednesday evening before 40 mile run on Thursday and then all ready to cramp on Friday.

I theory this means this week I will clock up

100km biking
100km running
50km swimming

With that mileage I would say your Arch 2 Arc training is on track, hope the run on Thurs goes well.

Last swim completed this morning. Decided not to go again tonight as I need to pack the car ready to drive down tomorrow evening.

Although there's no times for this event I'd like to keep a good pace throughout if possible. Hoping to stay under 28 minutes per mile.

But mostly hoping to finish as I am pretty sure it's going to a very tough day/night. If I get the chance I may even try some mid swim updates on here.

Hope it goes well Hillwall and Chrise. Interesting to see how you get on and how it goes as the time passes by. Can you keep swimming or is it 1 mile at a time per hour starting a new one on the hour??
