Hi people - new boy here, so be gentle, please.

I had a go at two half iron distances this year - got timed out after the bike at Wimbleball and finished Henley Half in 7hrs.

I was thinking of trying the Tenby Long Course Weekend next year...any recommendations or otherwise would be gratefully received.

Welcome to TT OnS Thumbs Up

As your from Watford, don't you fancy the full Henley after you've blooded yourself at Tenby in the early season?
Cotswolds 226 won't be so far away and a flat course, everyone speaks highly of the 113 half.
Midnight Man is erm overnight, on a flat course. Lots of laps for easy refueling strategy.
If your not scared of a few lumps, you can't fault ForestMan Cool

what a list
I remember when it was just The Longest Day ....
quite! I marshalled at 03, my first in 04. It was the only one that season. Lol. I thought 'I enjoyed that, I'll do more!' Rolling Eyes
In 05 first full distance IMUK, and I also got a waiting list entry to Austria, so with TLD that made 3 in one season. At the time, a bit unprecedented, everyone thought I was kway-zee!! Crazy Psychotic

Same again in 06, but Zurich instead of Klagenfurt. I infamously broke my arm after 1 mile into the bike, but despite a late puncture, still broke 11 hours FFS. Still did TLD n IMUK with a recovering arm!! It was only an elbow fracture FFS.
07 TLD died, but The Big Woody started in it's place. N back to Austria for me. 3 again.
08 ForestMan started but I'd already booked Zurich, and it was on the same day FFS so missed that. And couldn't break 11 hours without any incidents FFS. Went to ElbaMan late season so that made 4 IMs. I did a shedload of halfs then too. Eight one year FFS. 08 was first Double EnduroMan too.

09 I went to Lanza for first time as my MDot Euro jaunt.
10 Outlaw started but it clashed with DIM so I missed it. Winning DIM made up for it tho.

11 Wales and Henley started. A week apart. Didn't stop me lol. Along with winning the Quintuple EnduroMan. And all the rest.

12 we had XMan (XTri24) join the party Cool unfortunately for it's only year so far. And the innovative MidnightMan, on the warmest night of many a year! Plus The Brutal of course, single and Double!

13 it's all gone mad, see my signature! Very Happy Cool

Thanks for that - my exact quote after the Henley Half was: 'Never on this earth will I do a full distance'......two weeks later and I'm being egged on towards it!

Will look at the others, too. Many thanks for that.
