I thought you'd upset Mrs Ted one too many times and she'd had a new patio laid in your honour

I think he's given up Real Life for Lent, and has popped in here after a week on mumsnet (possibly by mistake due to recent thread topics).

First post on here in a while...
Was just wondering what peoples opinions are on whey protein supplements whilst training for an ironman... Have been doing quite a bit of reading around about diet etc recently and seen a couple of things mention using a protein isolate... Obviously i am aware that you should try and get your protein from food but was just wondering if anyone uses supplements and if so how do you find them and how often do you take them

Cheers

Hello,
I want to tell you that I use whey protein supplement. Because this supplement is really good to build lean muscle. I have been using this supplement since last 1 years. I am pretty sure that Whey protein supplement is the best option to them who wants to build lean muscle.
Thanks

I was going to make my own nut butter using coconut oil; y'know, because nuts & coconut oil is a la mode. But when I saw how labourious the process was, I went out to Tesco and bought some organic Whole Earth Rolling Eyes

Much like Nobbie on page 1, after long/hard sessions I do take an 'all in one' supplement, as it's a convenient way to get it down quickly. I literally get back through the door on a Sunday morning and it's manic.

No-one can seem to ever agree on what's good or bad for you, it's a constant cycle of counter arguments. Cigarettes seem to be the only thing everyone can agree on Rolling Eyes

I always use them after training. Quick hit until I can get some proper food into me.

As long as they're used as a supplement and not a replacement.

I got some free sachets of stuff in with a recent order. One of them was a sachet of 'Redweiler' a curiously named pre-workout booster! Another was a chocolate protein pudding, that sounds more like it Very Happy

Having tried a sample of chocolate recovery shake I have vowed never again.

I normally have a glass of milk if I can't get to food quickly enough.
