In august he said this:
“It is a declaration of war on my sport,” Coe said, in an interview with Associated Press. “I take pretty grave exception to that. This, for me, is a fairly seminal moment. There is nothing in our history of competence and integrity in drug-testing that warrants this kind of attack. We should not be cowering. We should come out fighting.

“Nobody should underestimate the anger at the way our sport has been portrayed. The fightback has to start here. We cannot be portrayed as a sport that is dragging our heels.” (from here http://bit.ly/1NrmqQj

Jon Snow kicked his arse though.

hmmm
given The Times' track record on locking their jaws around drugs in sport I'd be winding my neck in a bit if i were S'Coe

but then i suppose internal neck winding isnt a good trait for a soon-to-be president of a sport governing body to possess

Someone told the IAAF that the IAAF was colluding with Russia, and the IAAF didn't act against the IAAF?

My mam said yesterday that "I wouldn't trust Seb Coe any further than I could throw him."
And she's only small

To think we're not sure what Seb Coe is going to do but I wonder how different Sergey Bubka would handle it?

I reckon he'd be able to get over any obstacle. He definitely wouldn't just run away from it.

Well there's no love lost between Ukraine and Russia right now, so I doubt if Bubka would have gone easy on Russia Wink

I see Putin has stepped in and ordered an investigation. I wonder if they'll be investigating the doping or who the snitch was who let the cat out of the bag Rolling Eyes

I have no reason to doubt that any IAAF investigstion will be anything other than totally honest and transparent Rolling Eyes

Trying to remain optimistic - thankfully I'll never need to worry about being an elite.
