just received my new wetsuit throught the post the other day and decided to take it down to the pool to try it out.

everything seems to fit fine other than in the small of my back and midrif where quite a bit of water seemed to collect and ended up meaning it felt like my legs were nearly kicking out of the water (i'm a breatstroker sorry!!)

i applied the theory of not being able to pinch the suit anywhere around my body, this was fine on the legs and arms and upper back but around my midrif it seemed a bit baggy (i do a lot in the gym and am quite V shaped, so i'm assuming this may not help)

is this normal or should i look at trying to change the size?

any info greatly appreciated,

cheers

it _is_ supposed to have water inside it Wink ... just checking.

and it _will_ make you more buoyant.. somewhere along the lines of a pullbuoy.

i know its meant to have water in it!!! my concern is that it may be too much,

having only ever swum in a borrowed suit once before, i'm just struggling to ascertain what the right 'feel' should be. so i'm assuming that from your response that my arse should feel like its being pulled out of the water a bit. it just seem to affect my kick with my heels almost coming out of the water.

Most TRI specific wesuits are optimiised for front crawl and therfore a flutter kick used for balance etc

If the suite feels correct in all other fit departments - it probably fits

Not a great help i know - but it is sunday
