So 2017 will be Enduroman's 10th year............I might have to suggest to Dad about another Deca..........

1 x 10 or 10 x 1 or both.........what do you reckon??

Maybe DaveM will come out of retirement?

Has to be continuous for 2017

You will need some big F**k off lights down by the lake for those swimmers that cant make a 16 hour cut off Laughing

I'm too lazy to read the website...

What are the rules on unsupported "athletes"? I thought, when I did the double back in 2012, that it (the double) was the longest event one was allowed to do without a support crew. Then I saw this year that somebody did the continuous quin unsupported, something which I didn't know was an option.

Would I be able to do the triple unsupported? Or longer, if anything longer is put on?

Hey enduromen!

Question, I've just done my 1st long Tri ( cotswold 226) after 6 years of halves etc.

What would you say was "an easier" breakin to long long events?

The double or the contdouble?

I wonder whether stopping would be harder than to keep going?

I have done a few ultras and 2 maras in 2 days last year.

Thanks

its horses for courses.

everyone is different - so do you recover quickly? (which would be better for 2 * 1) or How about sleep deprivation?(If you can cope without sleep then continuous may be best)

Yep. If you behave, and come well prepared. You may get 'adopted' anyhow, even just on the day(s). Just ask, folk on here are real nice Smile

just do whichever one appeals. the continuous is a pearler, got to be experienced. easy enough to do straight out with no sleep break, just rock up and find out if you got what it takes, its the only way ! need some good lights for the bike mind.

Personally I would say go for the Continuous Double.....however its all dependant on your own personal situation with regards to training time and family committments....

You havnt gone long though until youv'e done a continuous event Wink

Doug did the Continuous pretty much unsupported this year although he did have various people popping in and out for the last few days helping him out...........it's recommended to have a crew but I don't think Dad would stop anyone from racing if they didn't have anyone....
