I have been on training camps with Nick. Top bloke absolutely devastated for his wife and kids. My heart goes out to them.

Terrible loss of such a top bloke, heart goes out to his family and all fellow Enduromen/women friends that knew him

I haven't posted in years and shame it's after the posts above.

But I'm all entered in the Deca. Havent done a tri in a few years and obviously haven't swum in over 3 years so seemed the most sensible thing to enter. Dorney was my 1st ever tri (sprint) so seems fitting to do this. I'll be raising funds for alzheimers research UK in memory of my Dad (RIP)

now has that Martin character entered ?

I would have a go, but I can't swim

Can I drink beer each day instead?

Old guard.. ha.. just cos I've moved up an age group...

so 7 in for the Deca, 4 for the Quin and 2 for the double.

meanwhile at AT - numbers are one for the double and not a lot else.

I may have to come out of retirement....

...FFS ...the missus has just given me the green light for the deca if I want to go for it.

Before I could use family as an excuse...now I just look like a whimp if I don't take part.

I guess for the family name, I should have a go Wink

First Simon, then Harvey. What's stopping you Dave?

The UK Deca is becoming a TriTalk revival.

Heck, we might even tempt The Rev.

Was down there with Claire Smith earlier this week. She was awesome to complete a Quin, with 20-22 hour days from Day 1. Deca was sadly out of reach for her this time.

Fancy having a go at the continuous triple Ironman at some point (2018 or 2019) and then Arch to Arc sometime after that.

Really not sure where to start with the training though, except for the obvious swim/bike/run lots.

Life!

Work is manic, will be for another 6 months.

I managed to blag IM Mallorca on 2 hours training a week - which is about all I have time for.

Like Currie I spent some time with Claire down at Eton Dorney. I rode most of the bike course with her, 40 of the 42 laps I think, and I didn't find it boring at all. Flat but with curves to keep your attention.

I think the location will encourage a great community feel much like AT so would be great to see some "old timers" there.
