Yes indeedy. Come one, come all, it's tour time.

I may be 'basking' in the cold and wet Southern hemisphere winter, but it warms my heart to know that you'll all be able to listen and watch the tour in a cold and wet English summer. Even if it's on your phone whilst you're supposed to be working, or peering over the dinner plate at the highlights, you'll still have it better than me, who will make do with the various website's wrap-ups over a morning coffee.

Looking at the rider list: Nibali looks to be a steal, if you can bear his whining; Richie P looks to be a bargain, but that's prob been pro-rata's due to him only putting in a two week shift; and there's a bunch of French blokes who might do something, might not (gallic shrug). Oh, and Froome could prove to be an expensive mistake if he forgets how to ride a bike, again.

Whilst the tour may not cater for girly-girls, the tritalk league has no such qualms about pounding your riders into the ground. We're equalist in our smacktalk.

Anyways, details, details:

I'll see you on the other side.

I'm planning on going for no GC team leader this year... Sagan is essential so doesn't leave a lot of space for an overall contender.

I can't have Nibali, as I don't want any part of me to want an Astana rider to do well.

I'm already having to look past the abomination of a kit that Tinkoff seems to always insist on making his riders wear. A happy Vino would be too far.

I'm in - not done one of these before so need to read the scoring a bit more to refine my picks probably.

Bump

One week to go and I'm hoping for more teams in the league.

Jees, even the perennial league-r Hammerer isn't in yet.

Don't. There's a couple of guys in the local club who think they're the bees knees in their cammo yellow kit... I beg to differ.

Im in...VC Londres which is my track club and rather fitting to use French (and Spanish) name for London Wink

Really struggled to keep cost down. Is it me or are the prices going up and the limit staying the same. Must be because of the financial armageddon and Pound - Euro price

I would love to be involved, but I have lost touch with cycling outside these 3 weeks every year now. But I'll have a stab anyway Wink

Indurain (full access to EPO still)
Breukink (Mig's understudy)
Cipollini (sprints and general PR)
Virenque (can climb a bit)
Chavanel (he's French & can ride the breaks)
Hincapie (we need a Yank)
Robin (another quality Frenchman for local support)
Renshaw (we need an Aussie lead-out)
Thomas (we need a good Brit)

I guess that smacks sh!t out of you lot. What do I win?

OK i joined.

I have only really been following le tour for the last couple of years, before which i didn't even have a clue how the whole jersey malarkey worked etc etc

I definitely don't have an in-depth knowledge, so if i beat any of you on here Stupid

... or i was lucky! Wink

Hoping to do better than my Euro 2016 fantasy league where every time i take a player out they go and score and/or assist in the next game!!

Contador - couldn't afford Froome
Barguil - French innit, stages, top 10?
Bardet - another Froggy, stages, top 10?
Rodríguez - seems to pick up breakways and stuff (i think)
Sagan - Obvious
Gallopin - Sounded funny
Eisel - Token DI Data pick
Stannard - breakaways maybe?
Bauer - cool name, kiwi and one of the few low cost riders i've actually heard of

45 degrees in the day, 30 degree at night and I have a TV in my office Smile

Thx for setting up the league - I'm in.

A lot of flat sprints this year, but struggling to fit Sagan and Kittel without crippling my GC and mountain line up.

EBH and Greipel could be a good compromise - just depends whether EBH gets to sprint before Cav bows out.

Bouhanni also looking good value at 10 points as long as his brawling injury doesn't hold him back.

Hmmm - many more minutes to be wasted between now and the weekend...

Having a wobble on Dumoulin now as I had in my head there were two TTs in there but there's just the one. Also, given his focus on the Rio TT and the fact Barguil is riding I'm not sure how much he will be trying to ride for a top-10 (or better).

I'm leaning towards Sagan for the green jersey - Kittel looked dominant at the Giro before he abandoned so should hover up the flatter stages on paper, although EQS do seem to stuff up the lead outs sometimes and Greipel always finds a way to get a stage win somewhere, plus there's Bouhani, Demare, Cav so plenty of potential for the true sprint stages being shared around.

Some good value in the 6 point lot though but don't want to give too much away Wink

I'm blind, there are two (although the second one is short and mainly uphill) so unlikely he'll bag both.

Righty-o.

Phil Ligget is dusting off his clichés and Kraftwerk have already spent their royalties, and, as Jorgan will attest, Rapha have sent their 'it's nearly here' email out to all their valued customers, so it must nearly be time for the grand depart.

As they say, it's going to be epic
