About 13.5 where I was swimming tonight...warmer than 2 weeks ago but am hoping the sea at Lanza will feel like a warm bath in comparison Very Happy

Best car hire is Omnicars, theyre not on the strip but should be ok to meet you anywhere to drop off/pick up.
No hidden charges.
Cabrera Medina Are ok too.
Avoid Gold Car like the plague.

Agree with Cabrera Medina being ok, used them last year, car spot on, easy to sort as well. Using them again this year, booked in advance this time as we're short on time. Definitely handy though same block as Ruta 66 Smile

Car rental is very cheap in Lanza. One day should be really quite cheap.

If you've been to Lanza 10/11 times then unless you've been sitting in an all-inclusive and not out cycling then you should already know most of the bike route.

a lot of those trips were before my running biking days!! have cycled a lot of it alright. getting it right in my head though before the race will help. have to get up to ClS to register anyway so renting for a day saves getting the bus

Agree with Gold Car.

Just back from Lanzo. We hired a Ranault Megane at the airport from Hertz for 70 quid for the week. No queue. In fact we had the keys to the car before the bike box and luggage was off the conveyor belt.

The Gold Car queue was at least an hour (we counted 20 people)

If you are on a ride out ride out - go inland to Teguise - drop into Johnny Bakes - best cake and coffee on the island (its on the Haria road as you leave the town)
