I wanted my first IM distance to be logistically easy for me and as this is before the school summer holidays it doesn't have me stressing when I cannot train much for family commitments.

Exact same reasoning for me.

This is why Tenby & Weymouth would be problematic for me too Rolling Eyes Even Barcelona is a bit close to the holidays tbh, only a month after they end.

I'm in too. Not sure I like the idea of shirt with a collar though. I'm not a bloody golferist!

I have a couple of garish coloured Ironman shirts like that; who the fook wants to wear a technical polo shirt outside a darts match? Luckily Ironman seemed to have moved back to t-shirts (the Frankfurt one was good last year).

I seem to remember I missed-out on this year's race, as it sold-out in a new-year surge. Que sera sera is my approach with this race. I should probably do it (had to withdraw from two previous entries), but can't seem to get super-psyched about entering it.

you also got a nice personalized (lightweight?) paperweight in the post this year, which last night got converted into a fridge magnet Very Happy . No bag though which I wasn't too fussed about.

If I get knocked back by the Celtman then I might have another crack at it, assuming there is still space left.

Deliberating. It's gone up a lot in entry fees since I last did it - 292 now... Not sure it's worth it as thats only 100 off an Mdot where you get closed roads and a bag Wink Someone talk me into it!

Roads weren't closed, but they were quiet. What you get at the Outlaw, but not at MDot, is every single pothole and dodgy bit of road surface on the course marked out in Purple chalk paint.

thats because ironman get the local council to repair the potholes & dodgy roads Surprised Surprised Surprised

I accidentally discovered this evening there's spaces left. Now I'm frantically trying to sort days off, money for entry etc.

I have entered again. (Did the 2014 race). Plenty of health issues to overcome by race day but banking on some miraculous healing by July 2017!

I don't know what came over me, but I've gone and entered this one. Feel a bit sick.

Any indication of how full this is? I remember this year's sold-out just after New Year, as people made the 'resolution' to commit!

I'm in again, for 2017, really enjoyed it last year.
Doing IM Wales again, too... That's just far too good to ever 'not do' again!
