The only thing I am prepared to predict is suffering on the run, whatever the overall outcome.

I was reading the bike course description, and to be honest it made my head spin a bit; particularly the bit around the roundabout we visit 4 times and the various exits we take off it through the day Rolling Eyes I think as a minimum, I need to drive this bit to get an orientation.

Sounds way more complicated than it is,it just flows on the day!

I see TC's on the start list but not nailing any colours to the mast here. The ultimate in sandbagging? Wink

Hm, lots of swift people on here going to be turning up. Luckily none of you are in my AG (M40-44) so maybe I can have an aim to finish top-5 in that, even though it's normally a very competitive AG.

As for Sid, I'll just let his tyres down a bit, so he's more comfortable? Laughing

Very Happy I'll have the other half filming my bike in transition, just in case

I reckon you should use super-glue on the valves.

Despite not laying-out any predictions, in theory, this should be a PB course for me, especially with the bike my 'weakest' of the 3. However, I'm not getting any younger, and it's a very long day.

Any top-tips for not starting the run at 3:00 marathon pace very much appreciated Rolling Eyes Smile

1. Muller the bike so you have nothing left in your legs at the start of the run?
2. Wait for me in T2 and shadow me round the run.. I guarantee you will be a lot slower than 03:00 pace
3. Call yourself Andy Murray and hobble round?

Don't. I'll start having nightmares, where I'm cycling around that roundabout and all the exits are blocked by dinosaurs or alligators or something.

Predictions and aspirations are not the same thing!

Treated myself to some new goggles today; they will stay in the packaging until swim practice the day before, for maximum anti-fog properties.
