Just wondering what half IM events people are planning to do in prep for the Outlaw? I think I should do one before this to get an idea of pacing etc.

I'm doing the Cotswold 113 on 4th June. Was hoping to do the Immortal Half on 14th May too, but that might clash with family plans. In any case, I like 7 weeks between my Half & Full. Easy week, 4 weeks peak volume, 2 week taper (maybe a tad less).

Mojo 1/2 in Peterborough on May 14th. For a first timer (to 1/2 and full) would there be much benefit in doing another? Would be Deva on 4th June, although think price may have the biggest say.

I imagine the price will go up considerably next year once they realise how much orange spray paint they'll need!
The roads in places are horrific particularly on the southern loop after a bit of a recce out this weekend.

Good luck to anyone with rear bottle mounts!

You mean it won't be like a German or Austrian bike course?

surprisingly not - thankfully it was a new chain that I had put on ahead of IM Mallorca last year.

Just sat on it, or did you also pedal?

Hi people. Had a look on the OSB website and can I assume that they use High5 energy drink at the feed stations? Can't find a specific answer but they look like one of the sponsors. Any particular drink within the range that they use? Cheers Smile

Its always been the orange high5 source IIRC it could be the Citrus one though? But definitely any of the funky berry ones.

Of course that's been in the past, can't promise anything on future races.

At the Half in Holkham last year (great event btw - would recommend to all!), they used citrus High 5 in bottles. It wasn't very strongly made up, so wouldn't bother most people's stomachs I'd guess.

The feed stations were handing out half bananas, bottles of water, or bottles of Citrus High 5. There may have also been some gels, but I didn't take anything like that.
